Illustration I drew a while ago, for a calendar. The illustration started out as a sketch on paper, with final touching-up and “colouring in” done in Photoshop with a wacom tablet. The speckled background is thanks to the stock that the calendar was printed on.
As much as I like my mac and wacom tablet, you can’t go past pencil and paper for starting an illustration.
